Using the Properties Panel

In Developer Studio, you use the Properties window to edit the properties of objects in your HTML page. In App Studio, this is done using the Properties panel. You can view properties or events using the commands at the top of the Properties panel. You cannot view both properties and events simultaneously.

The Properties panel contains more advanced organization options than the Properties window. You can sort the properties in the Properties panel using the sort commands at the top of the panel. These sort options display the properties by category or in alphabetical order. Only one of these commands can be selected at a time.

The Categorized command Categorized command sorts the properties into separate categories, based on what that property does. For example, in the Properties panel, key properties are categorized under the Core attributes category, while stylistic properties are categorized under the Style category. You can collapse or expand property groups from view. The following image shows the Properties panel with the properties sorted by category.

The Alphabetical command Alphabetical command sorts the properties alphabetically, from a to z. The following image shows the Properties panel with the properties sorted alphabetically.
